Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 25 at 3:33PM EDT until September 26 at 11:00PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ* WHAT...For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.For the Coastal Flood Advisory, up to one half foot ofinundation above ground level in low-lying areas nearshorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Delaware Beaches.* WHEN...For the High Rip Current Risk, through Thursdayevening. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 11 PM EDTThursday.* IMPACTS...At this level, flooding begins on the mostvulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, and alonginland tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures arepossible. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers awayfrom shore into deeper water.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Coastal Flood Advisory remains ineffect through Thursday evening's high tide cycle for mainlytidal flooding in Little Assawoman Bay, the Indian River Inletand other back bays.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax andfloat. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in adirection following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face theshore and call or wave for help.
