Additionalrainfall of 3 to 6 inches is expected across the Piedmont andfoothills. Many locations have alreadyreceived 3 to 5 inches of rain today, with isolated locationsreceiving up to 6 inches. As this next round of rainfall begins,flash flooding will begin shortly across the warned area.HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urbanareas, highways, streets and underpasses as well asother poor drainage and low-lying areas.* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...Greenwood, Laurens, Abbeville, Clinton, Fountain Inn, Honea Path,Ware Shoals, Calhoun Falls, Ninety Six, Joanna, Due West, GrayCourt, Lake Secession, Cross Hill, Donalds, Cokesbury, Waterloo,Hodges, Lowndesville and Troy.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Tropical Storm Warning issued September 26 at 10:44PM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC* LOCATIONS AFFECTED- Clinton* WIND- LATEST LOCAL FORECAST: Below tropical storm force wind- Peak Wind Forecast: 25-35 mph with gusts to 70 mph- THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY THAT INCLUDES TYPICAL FORECASTUNCERTAINTY IN TRACK, SIZE AND INTENSITY: Potential for wind 39to 57 mph- The wind threat has remained nearly steady from theprevious assessment.- PLAN: Plan for hazardous wind of equivalent tropical stormforce.- PREPARE: Remaining efforts to protect property should becompleted as soon as possible. Prepare for limited winddamage.- ACT: Move to safe shelter before the wind becomes hazardous.- POTENTIAL IMPACTS: Limited- Damage to porches, awnings, carports, sheds, and unanchoredmobile homes.
