Flood Warning issued September 25 at 7:45PM CDT until September 29 at 4:41PM CDT by NWS Birmingham AL...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Alabama...Tallapoosa River At The Tallapoosa Water Plant affectingMontgomery and Elmore Counties..Heavy rainfall expected from an approaching cold front, andeventually Hurricane Helene, will create a significant rainfallevent over the next 48 hours across the Tallapoosa Basin. Thisexpected rainfall will allow for rises along the Tallapoosa RiverBasin basin and a Flood Warning is now in effect.* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Tallapoosa River at The Tallapoosa Water Plant.* WHEN...From Friday morning to Sunday afternoon.* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Low areas near the junction with the CoosaRiver begin to overflow. Extensive flooding of low lying areasbegins between US 231 and the river at stages of 15 to 25 feet.At 25.0 feet, Extensive flooding of lowland areas begins west ofthe river and north of Anderson Road between stages of 25 to 30feet.
