Flood Warning issued May 10 at 8:15PM AKDT until May 13 at 8:30AM AKDT by NWS Anchorage AK* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues.* WHERE...Kuskokwim River.* WHEN...Until 830 AM AKDT Monday.* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lyingand flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 748 PM AKDT, the River Watch Team observed an ice jam justbelow Napakiak Thursday evening which is progressingdownstream.- High water behind the jam was rapidly flowing up the NapakiakSlough and into the west end of the village. Some low-lyingstructures and roads had water around and over them. Waterwas seen encroaching on the runway. Strong in place icedownstream of the jam past the Johnson River will likely leadto subsequent jams and increasing water levels in Napakiakover the next couple of days.
