Heat Advisory issued June 22 at 12:16PM PDT until June 23 at 8:00PM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA* WHAT...Temperatures up 90 to 100 expected.* WHERE...A large portion of Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara,and San Luis Obispo Counties away from the coast.* WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Sunday.* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments.
