Flood Watch issued May 17 at 2:26PM HST until May 19 at 6:00AM HST by NWS Honolulu HI...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH 6 AM HST SUNDAY FOR KAUAICOUNTY......FLOOD WATCH FOR THE ISLAND OF OAHU IS CANCELLED...* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...Niihau and Kauai.* WHEN...Through 6 AM HST Sunday.* IMPACTS...Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow ofstreams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, alongwith property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff.Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- A band of moderate to heavy showers associated with a konalow north of the islands will slowly move over Kauai Countybeginning this evening. As this band slowly moves westwardthrough late Saturday night, the threat for flash floodingfor the islands of Niihau and Kauai will persist.You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take actionshould Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
