Peak afternoon heat indices may be morevariable today due to potential isolated thunderstorms, but hotconditions are forecast again for Thursday through Saturday. Theeffects of heat are most impactful for more vulnerable urbanpopulations.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay outof the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Youngchildren and pets should never be left unattended in vehiclesunder any circumstances.Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside.
