Flood Warning issued June 22 at 1:30AM CDT until June 22 at 9:45AM CDT by NWS Sioux Falls SD* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.* WHERE...Portions of northwest Iowa, including the followingcounties, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, O'Brien,Osceola, Plymouth and Sioux, southwest Minnesota, including thefollowing counties, Cottonwood, Jackson, Murray and Nobles, andsoutheast South Dakota, including the following county, Union.* WHEN...Until 945 AM CDT Saturday.* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lyingand flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roadsremain closed due to flooding.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 129 AM CDT, Emergency management reported heavy rain inthe warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is alreadyoccurring. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen.Numerous areas have no travel advised. Heed all travelrestrictions and do NOT drive around barricades!- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in thewarned area.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Spencer In Clay County, Sioux Center, Orange City, SpiritLake, Windom, Jackson In Jackson County, Hawarden, Milford,Mountain Lake, Lakefield, Hartley, Sanborn, Alton, ArnoldsPark, Lake Park, Paullina, Bergen, Primghar, Okoboji andHeron Lake.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
