Flood Warning issued April 29 at 9:21AM CDT until April 29 at 7:30PM CDT by NWS Wichita KS* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.* WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the followingcounties, Allen, Greenwood, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson.* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT Monday.* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lyingand flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roadsremain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due toexcess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings areinundated with water and may not be passable.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 921 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported ongoingflooding across the warned area. Between 3 and 9 inches ofrain have fallen.- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall isexpected.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Parsons, Chanute, Iola, Eureka, Neodesha, Fredonia, Humboldt,Yates Center, Erie, Madison, St. Paul, La Harpe, Gas, Moran,Thayer, Altoona, Toronto, Hamilton, Severy and Buffalo.Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly twofeet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don'tdrown.
