Between 2 and 4 inches of rain havefallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 inch in 1 hour. Additionalrainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flashflooding is already occurring.HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.SOURCE...Emergency management reported.IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poordrainage and low-lying areas.Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...Jackson, Clinton, Pearl, Madison, Ridgeland, Brandon, Byram,Flowood, Richland, Florence, Raymond, Bolton and Monterey.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.
