Flood Watch issued May 21 at 10:49AM CDT until May 21 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...Portions of Iowa, including the following counties,Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamieand Shelby and Nebraska, including the following counties, Burt,Butler, Cass, Colfax, Cuming, Dodge, Douglas, Lancaster, Otoe,Platte, Saline, Sarpy, Saunders, Seward, Thurston and Washington.* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Heavy rains from 3 to 7 inches fell last night and early thismorning generally in an area north of Interstate 80.Thunderstorms are expected again through early afternoon,potentially moving over the same areas that received heavyrain earlier.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodYou should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible FloodWarnings. Flood Warning issued May 21 at 9:20AM CDT until May 21 at 4:00PM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall along the PapillionCreek system.* WHERE...The area along parts of the Big Papillion and LittlePappilion Creek in Douglas, Sarpy and Washington counties.* WHEN...Until 400 PM CDT Tuesday.* IMPACTS...While much of the flood control region will havePapillion Creek remain within its banks, some low-lying andflood-prone locations will experience flooding.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 913 AM CDT, Big Papillion and Little Papillion Creeks arerunning very full, and are experiencing flooding in somelocations. This will continue into the early afternoon hours.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Omaha, Bellevue, Papillion, Ralston, Offutt AFB, La Vista,Aksarben, South Omaha and Benson.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
