High temperatures around 118 atFurnace Creek in Death Valley National Park, 107 to 112 in LasVegas, Pahrump, Wikieup, and Yucca, and 108 to 113 in Mesquite,Overton, Laughlin, and Bullhead City.* WHERE...Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Northwest Deserts,Death Valley National Park, Northeast Clark County, Western Clarkand Southern Nye County, and Las Vegas Valley.* WHEN...Until 9 PM PDT /9 PM MST/ Wednesday.* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly duringextreme heat events.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will be little overnight relief fromthe heat, especially in Las Vegas, Laughlin, Bullhead City, andthe lower elevations of Death Valley National Park.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles.
