Fire Weather Watch issued May 22 at 1:53AM MDT until May 23 at 8:00PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 12PM MDT THROUGH 8PM MDTTHURSDAY FOR UPPER RIO GRANDE VALLEY AND LOWER CHAMA RIVERVALLEY AND EASTERN NEW MEXICO DUE TO GUSTY WEST WINDS, EXTREMELYLOW HUMIDITY AND AN UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE....Critical fire weather conditions are possible across the UpperRio Grande Valley and Lower Chama River Valley and expectedacross eastern New Mexico Thursday afternoon and evening.Stronger southwest to west winds are expected south of a stormsystem moving across the northern and central Rockies with gustsup to 40 mph during the afternoon hours. West winds will bring ina drier airmass and allow relative humidity values to quicklyplummet into the single digits.
