Evacuation - Immediate issued June 21 at 9:54PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NMEVIABQThe following message is transmitted at the request of the SanMiguel County and City of Las Vegas, NM Emergency Management.There is a mandatory evacuation for the following areas:NM State Highway 65 from Mile Marker 4 south along Hot SpringsBlvd, the Las Vigiles area, Fountain Drive, Willow Lane, StellaLane, Lucille Drive, Llano Road, and Cinder Road to Mills Avenue.Two shelters have been set up. On the east side of Las Vegas,proceed to McFarland Hall at the corner of 5th and Friedmanstreets. On the west side, the Las Vegas Senior Center at 500Sabino Street (not the recreation center) is open.Make accommodations for overnight stays. City officials willprovide notification when it is safe to return.
