Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments. These winds will combine with veryhot and dry conditions resulting in an increase in fire dangeracross the Gila region in Southwest New Mexico.* WIND...Southwest 15-20 mph with gusts to 35 mph.* HUMIDITY...6 to 9 percent lowlands and 8 to 11 percentmountains.* EXPERIMENTAL RFTI...4 to 5 Near Critical to Critical* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.Outdoor burning is not recommended.A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditionsare either occurring now, or will shortly.
