Heat Advisory issued June 13 at 5:57AM MDT until June 15 at 6:00AM MDT by NWS El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa NM* WHAT...Very hot conditions, with high temperatures from 103 to 107this afternoon.* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest New Mexico andsouthwest Texas.* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Saturday.* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heatillnesses.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments.
