These winds will combine with veryhot and dry conditions resulting in an increase in fire dangeracross western fire zones including the Gila region along withsouthwest New Mexico.The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa hasissued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from noon to 8 PMMDT Friday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.* WIND...Southwest 15-25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.* HUMIDITY...7 to 10 percent lowlands and 8 to 12 percentmountains.* EXPERIMENTAL RFTI...5 to 6 Critical to Extreme* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.Outdoor burning is not recommended.A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditionsare either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination ofstrong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures cancontribute to extreme fire behavior.
