For the Coastal Flood Advisory, up toone half foot of inundation above ground level expected alongshorelines and tidal waterways (7.2 to 7.4 feet Mean Lower LowWater at Charleston).* WHERE...Coastal Colleton and Charleston Counties.* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 PM EDT thisevening. For the High Rip Current Risk, through this evening.For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 7 AM EDT this morning.* IMPACTS...This could result in some roads becoming impassable.Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beacherosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers awayfrom shore into deeper water.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tide will occur around 4:36 AM todayat Charleston. Saltwater inundation will be possible 1 to 2hours before and after high tide.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Mobile homes will be damaged ordestroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles willoccur. Tree damage is likely.* Locations impacted include...Johns Island, Hollywood, Ravenel, Seabrook Island, Kiawah Island,Meggett, Rockville, Yonges Island, Bears Bluff and Wadmalaw Island.Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-builtbuilding away from windows. Prepare forsignificant wind damage.- ACT: Move to safe shelter before the wind becomes hazardous.- POTENTIAL IMPACTS: Significant- Some damage to roofing and siding materials, along withdamage to porches, awnings, carports, and sheds.
