Prepare for limited winddamage.- ACT: Move to safe shelter before the wind becomes hazardous.- POTENTIAL IMPACTS: Limited- Damage to porches, awnings, carports, sheds, and unanchoredmobile homes. For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 4to 6 feet expected in the surf zone.* WHERE...South Carolina Beaches.* WHEN...For the High Rip Current Risk, from 8 AM EDT thismorning through this evening. For the High Surf Advisory, from5 PM this afternoon to 8 PM EDT Friday.* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions andlocalized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the bestswimmers away from shore into deeper water.Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due todangerous surf conditions.Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax andfloat. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in adirection following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face theshore and call or wave for help.
