Flood Watch issued May 3 at 2:05PM CDT until May 5 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the followingareas, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Coastal Harris, Grimes,Houston, Inland Harris, Madison, Montgomery, Northern Liberty,Polk, San Jacinto, Southern Liberty, Trinity, Walker, Waller andWashington.* WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff has resulted in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Additional flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive river flooding isongoing and additional street flooding remains possible.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- A lull in activity is expected tonight into tomorrow;however, any rainfall that occurs during the overnight hoursmay contribute to the ongoing flooding. The primary focus isfor late Saturday night into Sunday with the potential foradditional heavy rainfall. Flood Warning issued May 3 at 11:38AM CDT until May 3 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the followingcounties, Grimes, Liberty, Madison, Montgomery, Polk, San Jacinto,Trinity and Walker.* WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT Friday.* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lyingand flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roadsremain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundatedwith water and may not be passable. It will take several hours forall the water from these storms to work through local drainagesystems in urban areas. Local media have reported water rescues.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 1137 AM CDT, emergency management reported flooding in thewarned area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 2 and 4inches of rain have fallen today in addition to Thursday'srainfall.- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible inthe warned area.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Conroe, Huntsville, Cleveland, Willis, Livingston, Shepherd,Panorama Village, Onalaska, Cut And Shoot, Groveton, NewWaverly, Coldspring, Point Blank, Montgomery, Riverside,Goodrich, North Cleveland, Huntsville State Park, LakeLivingston State Park and West Livingston.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
