Flood Advisory issued April 20 at 8:50AM CDT until April 20 at 10:45AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessiverainfall is expected.* WHERE...A portion of north central Texas, including the followingcounty, Dallas.* WHEN...Until 1045 AM CDT.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Water over roadways. Overflowing poor-drainage areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy raindue to thunderstorms. This will likely cause urban and smallstream flooding. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas willexperience minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of1 to 2 inches are possible.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Dallas, Garland, Irving, Grand Prairie, Mesquite, Carrollton,Richardson, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Rowlett, Desoto,Grapevine, Cedar Hill, Wylie, Coppell, Duncanville,Lancaster, Farmers Branch, Balch Springs and University Park.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
