Coastal Flood Advisory issued April 25 at 8:54PM EDT until April 26 at 4:00AM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground levelexpected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidalwaterways.* WHERE...Surry, Isle of Wight and Norfolk/Portsmouth Counties,and Suffolk and Chesapeake.* WHEN...Until 4 AM EDT Friday.* IMPACTS...Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerablelocations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a lowthreat of property damage. Expect up to one foot of waterabove ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roadsand low lying property including parking lots, parks and lawnsnear the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
