Coastal Flood Advisory issued April 19 at 2:16PM EDT until April 19 at 9:00PM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC* WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground levelexpected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.* WHERE...Shoreline in the District of Columbia, ArlingtonCounty, and the City of Alexandria.* WHEN...Until 9 PM EDT this evening, especially around the timeof high tide.* IMPACTS...Shoreline inundation is expected along portions of theseawall adjacent to Ohio Drive and the Hains Point Loop Road andnear the Tidal Basin. Water is expected to approach the curbnear the intersection of King Street and Strand Street inAlexandria.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides two to two and a half feet abovenormal. The next high tide at Washington Channel is at 6:17 PMand 6:45 AM. The next high tide at Alexandria is at 6:35 PM and7:03 AM.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
