Coastal Flood Advisory issued June 6 at 9:39AM EDT until June 6 at 11:00AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in lowlying areas due to tidal flooding.* WHERE...Shoreline in the District of Columbia.* WHEN...Until 11 AM EDT this morning, especially around thetime of high tide.* IMPACTS...Shoreline inundation is expected along portions of theseawall adjacent to Ohio Drive and the Hains Point Loop Road andnear the Tidal Basin. Water is expected to approach the curbnear the intersection of King Street and Strand Street inAlexandria..* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one to one and a half feet abovenormal. The next high tide at Washington Channel is at8:59 PMand 9:07 AM.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
