Special Weather Statement issued May 13 at 5:44PM MDT by NWS Pocatello IDAt 544 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms alonga line extending from 12 miles north of Chesterfield to Inkom.Movement was east at 30 mph.HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 45 mph.SOURCE...Radar indicated.IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow aroundunsecured objects.Locations impacted include...Blackfoot Reservoir, Chesterfield Reservoir, Wayan, Henry,Chesterfield, Cutthroat Trout Campground, and Grays Lake.If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.If on or near Blackfoot Reservoir, get out of the water and moveindoors or inside a vehicle. Strong winds will create rough chop.Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parentthunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to bestruck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught onthe water in a thunderstorm.

The river stage in this stretch of theBlackfoot River is very close to flood stage, with more meltingexpected. Expect possible minor flooding downstream from the dam.* WHAT...No flooding is currently forecast.* WHERE...Blackfoot River near Shelley (Wolverine Canyon).* WHEN...Until further notice.* IMPACTS...At 8.5 feet, From the mouth of Wolverine Canyon upstreamto the Blackfoot Dam, water flooding may be possible. Unimprovedcampgrounds may have water seeping or ponding in them along withstrong flows at river's edge.
