Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heatshould be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is anemergency! Call 9 1 1.

Flood Warning issued June 24 at 1:01PM CDT until June 25 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Sioux Falls SD* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. Thisextends the previous areal flood warnings which were in effect.* WHERE...Portions of northwest Iowa, including the followingcounties, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Lyon, O'Brien,Osceola and Sioux, southwest Minnesota, including the followingcounties, Jackson, Nobles and Rock, and southeast South Dakota,including the following counties, Clay, Davison, Hanson,Hutchinson, Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha, Turner and Union.* WHEN...Until 100 PM CDT Tuesday.* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lyingand flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Severalstructures are flooded and some sand bagging operations arecontinuing. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 1257 PM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain inthe warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is alreadyoccurring. Between 4 and 16 inches of rain have fallen,highest across portions of Turner and Lincoln Counties inSouth Dakota, as well as Sioux and Lyon Counties in Iowa,where widespread 10 to 16 inches of rain fell.- Flooding impacts will continue, but the chance for additionalrainfall in the next 2 to 3 days is low.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Sioux Falls, Mitchell, Spencer In Clay County, Sioux Center,Orange City, Sheldon, Spirit Lake, Jackson In Jackson County,Canton, Sibley, Rock Rapids, Hawarden, Beresford, Parker,Lake Vermillion State Recreation Area, Harrisburg, Tea, RockValley, Milford and Hull.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
