Heat Advisory issued June 13 at 3:46AM MDT until June 14 at 6:00AM MDT by NWS Salt Lake City UT* WHAT...Temperatures in the upper 90s to low 100s, with limitedovernight cooling, with lows in the low to mid 70s.* WHERE...Great Salt Lake Desert and Mountains, Northern WasatchFront, Salt Lake Valley, Tooele and Rush Valleys, and Utah Valley.* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Friday.* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments.
