yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 9:01 p.m. PDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain. This thunderstorm is located near Sicamous and is headed north at 60 km/h. Locations in the path include Highway 1 and Malakwa. ### Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Road conditions are available at https://www.drivebc.ca/. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail.
