severe thunderstorm warning in effectAt 8:46 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain.This cluster of severe thunderstorms is located 5 kilometres southwest of Walford, moving northeast at 50 km/h. Hazards:Large hail up to 4 cm in diameter or up to ping pong size.Locally heavy rainfall up to 50 mm within an hour. Timing:This evening.Locations impacted include:Walford, Massey, Chutes Provincial Park and Lee Valley.###Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
