red warning - tornado - in effect At 8:14 p.m. CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. Tornado Location: About 30 km northeast of Chitek Lake Motion: Moving quickly to the east at 60 km/h Locations in the Path: Otter Lake Big River Phillips Grove Delaronde Lake Nesslin Lake ### This is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Tornado warnings are issued when a thunderstorm is producing or is likely to produce a tornado. Take cover immediately in a basement, interior room, or a sturdy shelter when threatening weather approaches. If no shelter is available, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris. If you are out on the water when threatening weather approaches, return to shore and seek shelter, if possible. Otherwise, move away from the path of the tornado to escape. Wear your lifejacket, lie face down and protect your head.

yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 7:23 p.m. CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain. Thunderstorm Location: 35 km south of Rapid View Greig Lake Motion: Moving east at 60 km/h Hazards: Wind: damaging (90 - 110 km/h) Hail: loonie to ping pong ball size (2.5 to 4.5 cm) Rain: heavy (15 - 50 mm) Locations in the Path: Rapid View Greig Lake Dorintosh Waterhen Lake Meadow Lake St. Cyr Lake Lowther Lake ### There is a risk of injury. Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail.
