Heavy Rain Risk AreaThe moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, western part of Thailand and the Gulf while the low-pressure cell covers the North and the Northeast regions. Scattered heavy rains are likely in the country and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South(west coast). The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are likely about 2 meters high, 1–2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the Gulf, the waves have about 1 meter high, 1-2 meters high offshore and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.People should beware of heavy to very heavy rains that may cause flash floods and overflows especially, along waterways and lowlands, and take more caution in thundershowers.All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers areas.
