Flood Watch issued May 4 at 1:59AM AKDT until May 8 at 10:00AM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues to be possible.* WHERE...Tanana River from Salcha to Fairbanks.* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.As of Friday morning, the Tanana at Fairbanks is near bankful, withwater levels rising upstream at Big Delta. The Tanana will continueto rise with increasing temperatures; highest daily stages will bein the late afternoon/early evening and lowest daily stages in themorning.
