Locations include, but are not limitedto Ouray, Telluride, Rico, and Dolores.WHEN...600 PM Wednesday May 22 to 900 AM Thursday May 23IMPACTS...The Spruce Creek Wildfire is burning in the San JuanNational Forest, approximately 11 miles northeast of Dolores,Colorado. Areas of smoke will continue to settle throughout theadvisory area, especially sheltered mountain valleys. Moderate toheavy smoke will be possible through the early morning hours.HEALTH INFORMATION...Public Health Recommendations: If smoke isthick or becomes thick in your neighborhood you may want to remainindoors. This is especially true for those with heart disease,respiratory illnesses, the very young, and the elderly. Considerlimiting outdoor activity when moderate to heavy smoke is present.Consider relocating temporarily if smoke is present indoors and ismaking you ill. If visibility is less than 5 miles in smoke inyour neighborhood, smoke has reached levels that are unhealthy.
