Coastal Flood Advisory issued May 3 at 2:29PM EDT until May 4 at 8:00AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC* WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground levelexpected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.* WHERE...Shoreline in the District of Columbia.* WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Saturday, especially around the time ofhigh tide.* IMPACTS...Shoreline inundation is expected along portions ofthe seawall adjacent to Ohio Drive and the Hains Point LoopRoad, and near the Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one to one and a half feet abovenormal. High tide at Washington Channel is at 4:40 PM thisafternoon and 5:14 AM early Saturday morning.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
