Flood Warning issued May 4 at 8:50PM CDT until May 8 at 4:00PM CDT by NWS Sioux Falls SD...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...Little Sioux River At Linn Grove affecting Buena Vista, Cherokee,O'Brien and Clay Counties.Little Sioux River at Cherokee affecting Cherokee County.Little Sioux River above Spencer / Highway 18 affecting ClayCounty.Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County.Little Sioux River near Milford affecting Dickinson County....The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Iowa...Ocheyedan River near Spencer affecting Clay County.* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Little Sioux River at Cherokee.* WHEN...Until Wednesday afternoon.* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Cherokee city park begins to flood on thesouth bank of the river.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 7:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 17.4 feet.- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hoursending at 7:00 PM CDT Saturday was 17.5 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.2feet early tomorrow afternoon.
