Flood Warning issued April 28 at 1:08AM CDT until April 28 at 3:15AM CDT by NWS Topeka KS* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.* WHERE...A portion of east central Kansas, including the followingcounty, Anderson.* WHEN...Until 315 AM CDT.* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lyingand flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 107 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to beginshortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rainhave fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible inthe warned area.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Garnett, Colony, Greeley, Westphalia, Kincaid, Lone Elm andGarnett Airport.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.
