Flood Warning issued May 19 at 11:38PM CDT until May 20 at 10:30AM CDT by NWS Wichita KS* WHAT...Flooding caused by Sunday evening's excessive rainfall isexpected.* WHERE...A portion of Central Kansas, including the followingcounties, Barton, Ellsworth, Lincoln and Russell.* WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT Monday.* IMPACTS...Flooding of various creeks, streams, and other low-lyingand flood-prone locations is likely. Some roads and low-watercrossings will likely remain flooded overnight.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 1133 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated the threat forwidespread heavy rainfall has ended over central Kansas.However, excessive runoff from very heavy rainfall Sundayevening will likely support continued flooding concerns inthe warned area overnight.- Some locations that may experience flooding include...Russell, Ellsworth, Wilson, Kanopolis, Holyrood, SylvanGrove, Geneseo, Dorrance, Lorraine, Milberger, Bunker Hill,Susank, Wilson State Park, Ellsworth Airport, Wilson Lake,Odin, Russell Airport, Kanopolis Lake and Kanopolis StatePark.Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly twofeet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don'tdrown.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.
