Hydrologic Outlook issued May 6 at 2:41PM MDT by NWS Glasgow MTESFGGWA large and strong spring storm system is slowly moving through theregion and will stall over this area for multiple days. Bands ofmoderate to heavy rainfall will repeatedly spread over manylocations over the next few days. Area creeks and streams willquickly respond with rises. Low water crossings and poor drainageareas will follow as early as Tuesday morning.As the soil becomes saturated, areal flooding of smaller creeks andstreams will be possible through the middle of this week and thewater will begin to feed into into the larger rivers. Sharp risesfor our main stem rivers are possible later this week. It is not yetknown when this will result in flooding for the Milk and MissouriRivers. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updatesas needed.
