Power outages are possible. Travel will bedifficult, especially for high profile vehicles.Take action to secure trash cans, lawn furniture, and other loose orlightweight outdoor objects. Extremely hazardous driving conditionscan be expected, especially for motorists in high profile vehicleswho should consider delaying travel.

Red Flag Warning issued May 7 at 2:01PM MDT until May 7 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM...RED FLAG WARNING TODAY UNTIL 9 PM AREAWIDE BELOW SNOWPACK DUETO STRONG WINDS, VERY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, AND AN UNSTABLEATMOSPHERE......RED FLAG WARNING WEDNESDAY FROM 11 AM UNTIL 8 PM IN EASTERN NMDUE TO STRONG WINDS, VERY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, AND AN UNSTABLEATMOSPHERE....A dangerous and critical fire weather pattern will unfold todayas strong to severe winds, warmer temperatures, very low humidityand unstable conditions combine. All of northern and central NewMexico is expected to observe these critical conditions today,but the strongest winds will be focused over and near the Sangrede Cristo mountains. The lowest humidity will be found in centralto eastern areas of the state where readings of less than10 percent will persist for several hours.Critical conditions are forecast to redevelop tomorrow afternooneast of the central mountain chain. The lowest humidity andstrongest winds will focus over the Northeast Highlands andNortheast Plains.The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has cancelled theFire Weather Watch.* AREA AND TIMING...Sangre de Cristo Mountains (Zone 122) and theSandia and Manzano Mountains (Zone 124) until 9PM this evening.* 20 FOOT WINDS...West 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph,except around 65 mph in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values between 8 and 12 percent.* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.Outdoor burning is not recommended.Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in thefield of this Red Flag Warning.
