Red Flag Warning issued April 30 at 1:30PM MDT until May 1 at 8:00PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT ACROSS EASTERN NEW MEXICO AND THEUPPER RIO GRANDE VALLEY LATE WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAYEVENING DUE TO STRONG WINDS, LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, AND ANUNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE....Southwest winds will increase Wednesday ahead of a disturbanceover the Great Basin. 20 foot winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts of35 to 40 mph, relative humidity falling to or below 10 percentfor a few hours, high Haines and dry fine fuels will result incritical fire weather conditions late Wednesday morning throughearly evening. Critical fire weather conditions wane after sunsetas winds taper off and relative humidity rises.The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red FlagWarning...which is in effect from 11 AM to 8 PM MDT Wednesday.The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Plains (Zone 104), NortheastHighlands (Zone 123), Central Highlands (Zone 125), and EastCentral Plains (Zone 126) late Wednesday morning throughWednesday evening.* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with peakgusts of 35 to 40 mph Wednesday afternoon.* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Falling to 6 to 10 percent Wednesdayafternoon.* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.Outdoor burning is not recommended.Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in thefield of this Red Flag Warning.

Expect minor flooding downstream from the dam.* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues.* WHERE...Rio Chama below Chamita.* WHEN...Until further notice.* IMPACTS...At 5.5 feet, Bankfull stage.
