Red Flag Warning issued May 4 at 2:27PM MDT until May 5 at 10:00PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM...RED FLAG WARNING SUNDAY FROM NOON UNTIL 10 PM FORE MUCH OF THECENTRAL AND WESTERN PORTION OF THE FORECAST AREA DUE TO STRONGWIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY......FIRE WEATHER WATCH MONDAY FROM 11 AM UNTIL 10 PM ALONG ANDEAST OF THE NORTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY,AND FROM 3 PM UNTIL 10 PM FOR AREAS FARTHER WEST, DUE TO STRONGWIND AND LOW HUMIDITY....A weather pattern conducive for large fire growth will developSunday and continue through Wednesday as a broad trough developsover the western United States keeping the flow over New Mexicodry and windy. The strongest winds and critically low relativehumidity values Sunday will favor the central mountain chain andnortheast highlands westward. Then, relative humidity plummetsover eastern areas as well on Monday. Winds will strengthen overcentral and eastern areas late Monday morning, but not until midafternoon farther west.* AREA AND TIMING...Northwest Plateau (Zone 101), West CentralMountains (Zone 105), and West Central Basin and Range (Zone109) Sunday from noon until 10 PM MDT, and Monday from 3 PMuntil 10 PM.* 20 FOOT WINDS...On Sunday, southwest at 20 to 35 mph with gustsup to 50 mph.
