The strongest winds and critically low humidities Sundaywill favor the central mountain chain and northeast highlandswestward. Then, humidities will plummet over eastern areas as wellon Monday. Winds will strengthen over central and eastern areaslate Monday morning, but not until mid afternoon farther west.The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a FireWeather Watch...which is in effect from Monday afternoon throughMonday evening.* AREA AND TIMING...Northwest Plateau (Zone 101), West CentralMountains (Zone 105), and West Central Basin and Range (Zone109) Sunday from noon until 10 PM MDT, and Monday from 3 PMuntil 10 PM.* 20 FOOT WINDS...On Sunday, southwest at 20 to 35 mph with gustsup to 55 mph. On Monday, west at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to40 mph.* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...8-18 percent.* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidlyand will be hard to control. Long range spotting and extremefire behavior will be possible.
