Thestrongest winds and critically low relative humidity values todaywill favor the central mountain chain and northeast highlandswestward. Then, relative humidity will plummet over eastern areasas well on Monday. Strong winds on Monday will develop first overeastern areas, then linger longest over eastern areas in theevening as well.* AREA AND TIMING...Northwest Plateau (Zone 101), West CentralMountains (Zone 105), and West Central Basin and Range (Zone109) today from noon until 10 PM MDT, Monday from 10 AM until10 PM, and Tuesday from 11 AM until 11 PM.* 20 FOOT WINDS...For today, southwest 20 to 35 mph with gustsup to 55 mph. On Monday, west and northwest 20 to 30 mph withgusts up to 40 mph. On Tuesday, west 25 to 35 mph with gustsup to 50 mph.* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...8-18 percent, except 7-12 percent onTuesday.* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidlyand will be hard to control.
