Coastal Flood Warning issued September 24 at 4:09AM EDT until September 25 at 4:00AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC* WHAT...Up to two feet of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas due to tidal flooding.* WHERE...Shoreline in the District of Columbia, ArlingtonCounty, and the City of Alexandria.* WHEN...Until 4 AM EDT Wednesday, especially around the time ofhigh tide.* IMPACTS...The unprotected area on the Southwest Waterfront atthe DC Seafood Market is expected to flood. Water is expected toapproach parts of the Hains Point Loop Road, but it will likelybe closed. Water is expected to approach buildings near KingStreet and Union Street in Alexandria.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides two to two and a half feet abovenormal. The next high tide at Washington Channel is at 2:00 PMand 2:16 AM. The next high tide at Alexandria is at 2:18 PM and2:34 AM.Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Iftravel is required, do not drive around barricades or throughwater of unknown depth.
