Red Flag Warning issued June 20 at 10:41PM MDT until June 22 at 8:00PM MDT by NWS Grand Junction CO The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning below 9000 feet for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect from 1 PM to 8 PM MDT Monday. * AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 295 Southwest Colorado Upper East Forecast Area below 9000 feet. * TIMING...From 1 PM to 8 PM MDT Monday. * WINDS...Southwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...6 to 11 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
