Delaware Bay... * Until 730 PM EDT. * At 530 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located near Bowers Beach, moving east at 20 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and large hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage. * Locations impacted include... Brown Shoal Light, Fourteen Foot Bank Light, Slaughter Beach, Cape Henlopen, East Point, Bowers Beach, Miah Maull Light, Brandywine Shoal Light, Cross Ledge Light, and Cape May Point. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for southern New Jersey...and the adjacent coastal waters. Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
