Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 22 at 8:46PM EDT until June 22 at 9:30PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ At 846 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Milford to Milton to near Gumboro, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible. Locations impacted include... Georgetown, Milford, Millsboro, Harrington, Lewes, Milton, Selbyville, Dagsboro, Millville, Ellendale, Bowers, Henlopen Acres, Gumboro, Cape Henlopen State Park, Sycamore, Big Stone Beach, Long Neck, Ocean View, Frankford, and Frederica. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Coastal and outer waters from Great Egg Inlet NJ to Fenwick Island DE... * Until 1030 PM EDT. * At 836 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 12 nm west of Slaughter Beach to 16 nm west of Rehoboth Beach to 20 nm northeast of Bivalve, moving east at 35 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Five Fathoms Buoy, Buoy 2fb, Brown Shoal Light, Fenwick Island, Buoy 4fb, Buoy 3fb, Slaughter Beach, Cape Henlopen, East Point, Deepwater Reef, Miah Maull Light, Brandywine Shoal Light, Indian River Inlet Bridge, Overfalls Shoal, The Lump, 28- Mile Wreck, Bethany Beach, Fourteen Foot Bank Light, Rehoboth Beach, and Cape May Point.
