Flash Flood Warning issued July 4 at 2:22AM EDT until July 4 at 5:15AM EDT by NWS Northern Indiana At 221 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Rainfall rates should subside through 330 AM EDT, but the threats of flooding and flash flooding continue. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Plymouth, Nappanee, Bremen, Bourbon, Wakarusa, Argos, Locke, Etna Green, Inwood, Lake Of The Woods, Hastings, Gravelton, Southwest, Foraker and Twin Lakes. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

In northern Indiana, Elkhart, Marshall and Starke. * WHEN...Until 400 AM EDT /300 AM CDT/. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 223 AM EDT /123 AM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
