Flood Watch issued June 27 at 2:58AM EDT until June 27 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Louisville KY * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following areas, Clark IN, Crawford, Dubois, Floyd, Harrison IN, Jefferson IN, Orange, Perry, Scott IN and Washington IN and Kentucky, including the following areas, Anderson, Bourbon, Clark KY, Fayette, Franklin, Harrison KY, Henry, Jefferson, Nicholas, Oldham, Scott KY, Shelby, Spencer, Trimble and Woodford. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered storms capable of heavy rainfall rates will continue to move east over southern IN and portions of northern KY through the early to mid morning hours. Flood Advisory issued June 27 at 5:15AM EDT until June 27 at 8:15AM EDT by NWS Louisville KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Kentucky, including the following counties, Henry, Oldham and Trimble. * WHEN...Until 815 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 515 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... La Grange, New Castle, Bedford, Pendleton, Campbellsburg, Bethlehem, Sulphur, Sligo, Turners Station and Tarascon. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
