Hydrologic Outlook issued June 27 at 12:25PM MDT by NWS Missoula MT ESFMSO What: Widespread moderate rainfall over a prolonged period of time. Storm total amounts between 1 to 3 inches for valleys and 2 to 4 inches for the mountains. Where: Flathead and Lake Counties in northwest Montana, including Glacier National Park. Timing: Beginning Sunday afternoon, continuing through Monday night. Significant rainfall totals will bring potential for rapid rises on streams and creeks, rock and debris slides and runoff issues in poor drainage areas. Those recreating in the backcountry should take caution on backcountry roadways for falling debris. If camping, be mindful of where you park your RV or pitch your tent. Avoid setting up near water's edge, as streams and reservoirs could rise rapidly and flood your site.

Flood Watch issued June 29 at 12:19PM MDT until June 30 at 12:00AM MDT by NWS Great Falls MT * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of north central Montana, including the following area, East Glacier Park Region, including the east side of Glacier National Park. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Recent rainfall amounts from 2 to as much as 5 inches has fallen in the Glacier National Park region. Periods of rain through this this evening may bring another 0.50" to some locations. Flood Warning issued June 29 at 1:45PM MDT until June 30 at 10:45AM MDT by NWS Missoula MT * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northeastern Flathead County in northwestern Montana... * WHEN...Until 1045 AM MDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of creeks and small streams in Glacier National Park is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from ongoing rainfall. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 143 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
